Youth Housing and Reintegration
YHARS is a trial program aimed at providing services to assist young people between the ages of 12 and 21 yrs who are homeless or at risk of homelessness on the Fraser Coast.
YHARS is not a housing provider but will support young people in the following ways:
1. Assist to access private, community and departmental housing.
2. Work along side young people to improve the chance of keeping accommodation through advocay and the development of life skills.
3. Provide advice on where other assistance can be sought.
4. Up to 12 months ongoing support to deal with issues involving the law, education, relationships, employment, day to day living, accommodation providers etc.
