Safe Choices is a group that focuses on teaching men new skills to replace the abusive ways they currently relate to their family and friends. Safe Choices is open to anyone who feels they are living in an unsafe family environment.
Safe Choices can help those who are easily angered, find family members flinch if they raise their voice, are being reported to police by neighbours for yelling and raised voices, are tired of destroying furniture, possessions and the home, want their family to feel safe and happy.
Safe Choices can help participants become self-aware and learn how to communicate more effectively with their family. This program helps participants to meet other people in similar situations and helps them to understand they are not alone. Perpetrators of abuse need to be supported to enable change.
